Hi, my name is Olivia, and although I am certainly not opposed to progress, I love traditions, especially when it comes to rituals, religions and family gatherings. Tradition, I believe, holds people to the past and makes them feel strong and connected as they move forward. I feel like the internet is full of people talking about new ideas around death and funerals, but I see the value of going the other direction – toward the beautiful traditions and ceremonies we have formed together over the years. I lost my mother a few years ago, and I had a sad chance to learn about all of this first hand. I want to share what I've learned to make it easier on others.
